Those words spoken by American founding father Thomas Paine, over 200 years ago, ring true again today. Over the past several decades we have seen a gradual takeover of our Government by radical progressives whose ideas are as old as history. Americans are coming to realize that, despite their pleas of fairness and compassion, liberals are spending our Country into a debt which will ensure that future generations will never experience the economic and personal liberty envisioned by our Founders.
On Nov. 2nd 2010, the American people went to the polls and elected Conservatives to every level of our Government. History was made that day. However, our next battle is just beginning. The fight to reform and reshape the size and scope of government at every level will be an undertaking the size of which America has not encountered since the battle against the red coats.
I believe it is up to every concerned citizen in our country to stay involved, keep a watchful eye on their government and support the good elected leaders who are working to re-establish the principles of our founders.
Our goal must be to restore America and the meaning of being an American. That will mean restoring the dignity of each individual, our families, our communities, our churches and charities. Americans have come to realize that each of us is personally responsible for our inheritance of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. To help in this task, we have added many different new tools to this website. What we have added will help you learn about local issues and keep all of us focused on the task at hand….Baxter County, the State of Arkansas, and the United States of America.
The Laus Deo blog is something I am very excited about. Laus Deo, or in English, Praise be to God, is engraved on top of the Washington Monument. On the east side of the peak on this 555ft. tall obelisk, where no human can see, is the answer to all of our problems. We can return this county to God and in doing that we will praise Him every day for giving us this opportunity we call America. Baxter County is a great place with great leaders in every level of our Government, but there is always room for improvement. One of the places I promised to try to improve on was the level of transparency in our county Government. This blog will keep you up to date on the issues facing the Baxter County Quorum Court and our nation. Every month I will post the Quorum Court's monthly agenda and my opinion on it. This will truly be your one and only online resource for up-to-date information on the Baxter County Quorum Court. I also invite you to "Join the Fight" and sign up for my email alerts.
